A year ago a crazy idea came to mind after spending a few hours playing Dance Dance Revolution on PS2 with Chris, "If I'm sweating more in an hour than I would wandering aimlessly around a gym, why wouldn't this work as my own routine?". That first week Chris and I spent countless hours every night in front of the TV jumping around like we'd just won a new car from Bob Barker. 8 pounds vanished, I didn't go looking for them. We never did take it very seriously (as was my general feeling regarding exercise at the time) and quickly got out of the habit.
Fast forward to yesterday, we had an impromptu "Dance Party"- unlike the occasional drunken dance parties at Melissa and Ashley's; the DDR was brought out and....yup, Bob Barker was favoring us again. Ashley was hooked, we'd converted another to our cause and made plans to do it again as soon as we were all awake today. I started in my PJ's about 40 minutes before Chris showed up, Ashley made it not long after and I was already sweating. We found the workout routine on DDR and entered all of our (very) personal information regarding weight that we will be able to use and update every time. I lost track of when they showed up and left but I believe we were able to get about 2 hours in and we all 'jogged' between 2-4 miles, before the snow started to stick on the streets and make them nervous enough to head home.
I was able to get some grocery shopping done before it was too dangerous to get out. Those who know me, know I don't 'do groceries' so buying a weeks worth with health and weight loss in mind should have been a challenge. Nope, surprisingly I've been in denial all this time and was able to make a mental list of what I would need before I even entered Albertson's. This was my list:
Whole wheat bagels
Eggs
Low fat, sliced turkey
Corn flakes
Fat free milk
Pepperjack & cheddar cheeses
Organic, unsalted popcorn.
Right now, with the budget I'm on I have to be able to do as little as possible, so will mix & match. (Bagel, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich? YUM!).
My name is Tiffany.
My current weight is 260.
My first goal is 200.
If I get permission I'll also post Chris & Ashley's info.
Let the DDR commence! ;)
